Wade Barrett pinned Santino Marella with the Winds of Change sidewalk slam at 1:20; prior to the bout, Barrett cut an in-ring promo about how great his 2012 was since it didn't have Randy Orton in it, then stating he would go on to win the 2012 Royal Rumble and main event WrestleMania; after Marella noted he was in the 2011 match longer than Barrett, he said he would run Barrett over in the 2012 match
Sheamus fought Mike Mizanin to a no contest when Miz jumped Sheamus before the bout, with Sheamus eventually gaining the upperhand and clearing Miz into the crowd; moments later, R-Truth's voice could be heard before he revealed himself as being just 20 feet up in the stands; Truth went on to say he found Little Jimmy in the crowd and Little Jimmy didn't like Miz and that Miz needed to "get got;" Miz then escaped back into the ringside area where he immediately was kicked in the head by Sheamus; moments later, Truth smacked a bottle of water against Miz's head; Truth then walked up the stands as he said his beatdown was brought to you by Little Jimmy, then giving a little kid next to him the mic to say "Happy New Year, Miz!"
Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero) defeated WWE World Champion CM Punk via count-out at 13:04, after Punk fell out to the floor and injured his arm; late in the bout, John Laurinaitis came out and spoke with the referee about an exposed turnbuckle as Punk had Ziggler tapping out to the Anaconda Vice; Laurinaitis was seen pulling down the top rope during the finish, which caused Punk to fall to the floor; after the match, Ziggler took the title belt and celebrated in the crowd
Nikki & Brie Bella defeated Kelly Kelly & Eve at 2:06 when Eve was pinned with an inside cradle after the Bellas switched places in the ring, moments after Eve hit the moonsault on the legal Bella
John Cena, the Big Show, & WWE US Champion Zack Ryder defeated Mark Henry & Jack Swagger in a handicap elimination match at 8:23; Kane was to be part of the Henry & Swagger team but, following Kane's entrance music, David Otunga came out and told the referee that Kane was not participating and it was now a handicap match; Henry and Show were both counted out at 6:17 after Show scared Henry to the floor and hit him with a steel chair; Cena pinned Swagger with the FU; after the match, Kane's music started playing, prompting Cena to go out to the floor, not noticing Kane came from under the ring, assaulted Ryder, and then choked Cena out on the floor; moments later, Kane returned to the ring and tried to pull Ryder down into the hole with him, with Cena then making the save and pulling him out; a giant flame then shot out of the hole in the ring while Kane's red lighting and music played as the show ended

Smackdown! - 2/21/12 - featured an opening in-ring promo by World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, alongside AJ, in which he said no one believed him when he said after winning Money in the Bank that he would headline WrestleMania; Bryan then made fun of Santino Marella's Rocky-like story, then saying he was the real Rocky for going through the Elimination Chamber, then yelling "Yo, AJ, I did it!"; as the crowd chanted "CM Punk," Bryan said Sheamus destroyed his victory moment at the Elimination Chamber and he would get revenge by beating Sheamus at WrestleMania, as well as beating Punk later in the show; Mike Mizanin then interrupted, said he knew Bryan had it in him the whole time, and then congratulated him for being in the main event of WrestleMania; as Miz suggested they someday become a tag team, Sheamus walked out and confronted Bryan, with Miz stepping in his way and calling out Sheamus for interrupting them both; moments later, Bryan slapped Sheamus, then ran off with AJ as Sheamus laid out Miz in the ring; included a backstage segment with Teddy Long and Aksana in which Aksana said she hoped Long would be GM of both Raw and Smackdown; moments later, John Laurinaitis and David Otunga walked in, with Long saying he had their office set up in the men's room; Otunga then said he would again beat Ezekiel Jackson, just like he did on Raw; featured an ad promoting the Rock on Raw the following week; included clips from the upcoming episode of SyFy's "Face Off;" featured a "Did you know?" graphic which read Smackdown is airing live in more than 30 countries, including England, Iraq, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, and Italy; featured a video package announcing Ron Simmons being inducted into the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame; included a backstage segment set to Eurgene's WWE theme of Santino training his cobra for target practice; moments later, Heath Slater interrupted, with Marella spraying water in Slater's face and acting like the cobra did it; featured a look at Punk's Twitter war with Chris Brown; included a WrestleMania ad to the tune of Flo Rida's "Good Feeling;" featured Matt Striker conducting a backstage interview with the Big Show regarding WWE IC Champion Cody Rhodes costing him the battle royal win on Raw, then saying he would take it out on Mark Henry later in the show; included a video package recapping the previous night's in-ring segment between Triple H and the Undertaker, leading to them agreeing to a WrestleMania match in Hell in a Cell; featured a clip of "Are you Serious" hosted by Josh Matthews & Road Dogg; included a "Did you know?" graphic which read the Rock has more Twitter followers than John Cena; featured the announcement WWE.com would have an interview with Eve to explain her actions on Raw; included Striker conducting a backstage interview with Punk regarding his upcoming match with Bryan and then facing Chris Jericho at WrestleMania; featured an ad promoting 'The Epic Jouney of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson':
Sheamus pinned Mike Mizanin in an impromptu bout with the Emerald Frosion at around the 7-minute mark (the bout began during the commercial break)
Dolph Ziggler & WWE US Champion Jack Swagger (w/ Vickie Guerrero) defeated Kofi Kingston & R-Truth at 2:45 when Ziggler pinned Kingston with an eye gouge and the Zig Zag
The Great Khali pinned Drew McIntyre with a chop to the head and tree slam at the 33-second mark
Mark Henry defeated the Big Show via count-out at around the 5-minute mark when Show knocked Henry out with a punch and then stalked WWE IC Champion Cody Rhodes backstage; late in the bout, Rhodes interrupted to make fun of Show and show footage of Show vs. Akebono in a sumo match at WrestleMania 21; the bell didn't ring and no official announcement was made as to the winner
David Otunga pinned Ezekiel Jackson with a spinebuster at 1:21; prior to the bout, Teddy Long escorted Jackson out to the entrance stage, with Otunga escorted out by John Laurinaitis, during which Laurinaitis mocked Long's dancing; early in the bout, a pretaped insert promo by Jackson aired in which he said Otunga would be the one going down in the rematch
WWE World Champion CM Punk fought World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan in a non-title match to a draw at 29:41; Punk initially won the match by pinning Bryan with a kick to the head at 9:55 after Sheamus ran out and threw Bryan back into the ring after Bryan attempted to get himself counted-out; moments later, John Laurinaitis interrupted and said he was restarting the match due to the outside interference; Bryan pinned Punk at 14:37 with a roll over and grabbing the ring ropes for leverage, with Teddy Long then coming out and restarting the match as well; the finish saw Punk hit a superplex, with Bryan hook the legs for a cover and all four shoulders being down for the pinfall; during Punk's entrance and the match, Michael Cole played up the Twitter war between Punk and Chris Brown; following the bout, Long and Laurinaitis argued over who the winner was, with Laurinaitis raising Bryan's hand and Long raising Punk's; Laurinaitis and Long then argued, with Long eventually storming off as the show ended
