Stan Hansen pinned NWA US Champion Lex Luger with the lariat at 9:29 to win the title as Luger attempted his own clothesline; prior to the bout, Hansen cut a pre-taped promo on the match; late in the contest, Dan Spivey appeared ringside and threw Hansen his cowbell to use as a weapon, with Luger quickly knocking it out of Hansen's possession
NWA World Champion Sting pinned Sid Vicious at 12:36 with a Stinger Splash and inside cradle; Vicious originally won the match at 11:50 when Sting failed a bodyslam, with Sid falling on top for the win; fireworks were set off and balloons dropped from the rafters before the real Sting came out, revealing that the man in the ring - who replaced the champion moments earlier during a backstage brawl with Sid - was in fact fellow Horseman Barry Windham; late in the match, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson appeared ringside to distract the referee as Sid and Sting battled their way backstage; after the bout, Jim Ross conducted a ringside interview with Sting regarding Vicious, the fake Sting, and the challenge of the Black Scorpion

WCW US Champion Sting, El Gigante, Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Big Van Vader (sub. for Barry Windham), Cactus Jack (sub. for Oz), Abdullah the Butcher, & the Diamond Studd in a Chamber of Horrors match at 12:36 when Cactus accidentally pulled the lever for the electric chair, moments after Rick belly to belly suplexed Abduallah into the chair; one of the "ghouls" at ringside was Bryan Clarke (the Nightstalker); after the contest, the ghouls attempted to take Abdullah out on a stretcher but he attacked them and Cactus (Vader's TV return after a several month absence; Scott's return after a 4-month absence)
Big Josh & PN News defeated the Creatures (Joey Maggs & Johnny Rich) at 5:16 when News scored the pin with the splash off the top, moments after Josh hit the sit-down splash; during their introduction, News rapped in the ring; during the match, Christine Valver was shown sitting ringside, the winner of a WCW Magazine PN News rap contest to win tickets
Bobby Eaton pinned Terrence Taylor (w/ Alexandra York) with the Alabama Jam at 16:39 after punching Taylor off the middle turnbuckle
Johnny B. Badd (w/ Teddy Long) pinned Jimmy Garvin (w/ Michael Hayes) at 8:26 with the left hand punch; Hayes had his right arm in a sling but was not legit injured; Hayes & Garvin wore Atlanta Braves ballcaps and a jacket to the ring; Garvin had his foot on the bottom rope during the cover but Long shoved it off; after the contest, Hayes punched Long in the ring

WCW/NWA Tag Team Champions Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes fought Steve Williams & Steve Austin (sub. for Terry Gordy) to a 30-minute time-limit draw at 30:28; Williams & Austin initially won the match and titles at 28:31 when Austin pinned Windham after a clothesline from Williams but Windham was not the legal man in the match and initial referee Randy Anderson changed the call by replacement referee Nick Patrick
WCW US Champion Rick Rude (w/ Madusa) defeated NWA World Champion Masahiro Chono via disqualification at 22:34; prior to the bout, Seiji Sakaguchi and Manabu Nakanishi were introduced in the crowd; following the introductions, Ole Anderson held a coin toss to determine which referee -- Harley Race (Rude's selection) or Kensuke Sasaki (Chono's selection) -- would be the inside and outside referee; Race won the toss to become the inside referee; during the contest, there were chants of "We want Flair" and repeated "Woooo"s; the match ended as Chono had Rude in the STF, with Sasaki asking Rude if he submitted as Race stopped the match for Chono tossing Rude over the top rope moments earlier, onto both Sasaki and Race; after the match, Sasaki fought off Race, knocked Rude to the floor, and then dropped Race with a suplex (Rude's first appearance without a mustache)
WCW World Champion Ron Simmons pinned the Barbarian (w/ Cactus Jack) at 12:43 with the powerslam as the challenger attempted the boot to the face; prior to the bout, Simmons came to the ring with Teddy Long and a dozen or more security guards
Sting pinned Jake Roberts in a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal Coal Miner's Glove Match at 10:35 by punching Roberts with the glove, causing Roberts' snake to bite Roberts in the face; Roberts' snake bag was brought out moments earlier by Cactus Jack; after the bout, Cactus yelled for someone to help Roberts as Roberts crawled and staggered his way backstage (Jake 'The Snake' Roberts: Pick Your Poison)

World Heavyweight Champion Rick Rude defeated Ric Flair (w/ Fifi) via disqualification at 19:56 when referee Randy Anderson stopped the match after Flair hit Rude with the champion's own foreign object, just as special second referee Terry Taylor began counting Flair's cover; after the bout, Flair grabbed the title belt and then briefly applied the figure-4 on Rude on the ramp after saving Fifi from Rude
WCW World Champion Vader (w/ Harley Race) defeated Cactus Jack in a non-title Texas Death Match at 15:57; the rules of the bout stated the loser would be the man who couldn't get back to his feet by a standing 10-count after being pinned; there was a 30-second rest period between falls; fall #1: Cactus pinned Vader on the ramp with a clothesline at 5:40; fall #2: Cactus pinned Vader with an elbowsmash from the ramp to the floor at 6:49; fall #3: Vader pinned Cactus with a moonsault at 11:59; fall #4: Vader pinned Cactus on the ramp at 14:54 after a DDT onto a steel chair and then scaring away EMTs as they came out to check on Cactus; after the fall, both men were knocked down which prompted referee Nick Patrick to begin a standing 10-count on each; Cactus rose to his feet first but Race shocked him with a stungun, allowing Vader to break the 10-count and win the match; after the match, Cactus hit a double arm DDT on Race onto the ramp (WCW Fan Favorites)

WCW World Champion Hulk Hogan defeated the Giant in a monster truck challenge; the contest was held on the roof of the adjacent Cobo Arena and rules stated the winner would be the truck to push the other outside a 100-foot diameter circle; Eric Bischoff, Heenan, and Bob Chandler, who designed the two trucks, provided commentary for the contest; after the contest, the Giant got out of his truck and cornered Hogan against the ledge of the roof; after a brief brawl, in which both men were on the ledge, the Giant lost his balance and fell off; Hogan immediately ran for help as the helicopter filming the contest focused on the Detroit River below; moments later, Bischoff left the broadcast table to find out more information, with Tony Schiavone then returning to call the remainder of the show

Harlem Heat defeated Konnan & Billy Kidman and Brian Knobbs & Hugh Morrus (w/ Jimmy Hart) in a streetfight at 5:18; Heat won at 5:02 when Booker pinned Knobbs after hitting him with a prop mummy but the bell came seconds later when the second referee counted Kidman's pinfall on Morrus inside the ring, off camera; after some discussion, Heat were given the win for getting the pin first; due to pre-match stipulations, Harlem Heat won the vacant WCW Tag Team Titles; the bout was scheduled as Knobbs & Morrus vs. Konnan & Rey Mysterio Jr. for the titles but was changed after Mysterio suffered an injury and was unable to wrestle; despite not being recognized as champions, Konnan & Kidman wore the title belts to the ring before the match; Konnan appeared to suffer a legit shoulder injury late in the match; after the bout, Mysterio and Torrie Wilson appeared at the entranceway as Konnan was being helped

WCW World Champion Sting pinned Hulk Hogan; prior to the "bout," the challenger's music played all the way through before Sting was brought out first instead; Hogan's music played a second time, with Hogan eventually coming out in street clothes, saying something to Sting and then laying down for Sting to pin him; as Sting was announced as the winner, the screen quickly went to a promo package for Goldberg / Vicious; the bell never rang to begin the match; the crowd heavily booed the segment and chanted "bullshit" as the next match prepared to start
Bill Goldberg defeated WCW US Champion Sid Vicious via referee's decision to win the title at 7:11 when the referee stopped the match when Sid, heavily bloodied, wasn't responsive; prior to the match, Goldberg was attacked in the aisle by Kevin Nash & Scott Hall; after the bout, WCW TV Champion Rick Steiner came out and helped Vicious backstage, with Sid eventually turning around and trying to go back for more but was held back by Steiner and the referee
Diamond Dallas Page (w/ Kimberly) pinned Ric Flair in a strap match at 12:48 with the Diamond Cutter after wrapping the strap around Flair's neck; after the bout, Page dropped referee Charles Robinson with the Diamond Cutter, after Robinson attempted to protect Flair from losing; moments later, David Flair came out with a crowbar but suffered a low blow from Kimberly, who threw the weapon to Page to use on Ric; Page then hit a bloody Flair in the crotch with the crowbar and dropped David with two Diamond Cutters inside the ring; after DDP and Kimberly left ringside, medics, David, and Robinson, both crying, tended to Ric, who was placed in a neckbrace and taken backstage on a stretcher; moments later, as Ric was about to be placed in a waiting ambulance, the Filthy Animals appeared, roughed up Ric and David, and sped off with Ric in the back of an ambulance

WCW Cruiserweight Champion Mike Sanders (w/ Shawn Stasiak & Chuck Palumbo) defeated Ernest Miller (w/ Ms. Jones) via count-out in a non-title kickboxing match when the referee counted Miller out of the ring following the 3rd round when Miller began fighting with an interfering Shane Douglas at ringside; Douglas appeared ringside after the 2nd round and hit Miller with a foreign object behind the referee's back toward the end of the round
Mike Awesome pinned Vampiro with a powerbomb off the top at 9:50; prior to the bout, Vampiro cut an in-ring promo in which he challenged Awesome to put his WCW World Title shot for the following night's Nitro on the line, with Awesome agreeing; though no stipulation was announced for the match, the referee allowed the use of a table as a weapon and counted a cover made on the floor during the bout; several minutes after the fall, Vampiro was helped to his feet by officials

WCW World Champion Booker T defeated Scott Steiner (w/ Madajah) via disqualification at 13:26 after Steiner hit Booker with a lead pipe as the champion attempted a Harlem sidekick, then assaulted several officials inbetween locking Booker in the Steiner Recliner; upon Steiner's entrance, footage was shown of the challenger attacking agent Ricky Santana backstage, upset that the match wasn't going on last as originally scheduled; after his introduction, Steiner confronted Stevie Ray at the commentary table; after the contest, Steiner laid out several officials with the pipe before Jeff Jarrett appeared in an attempt to restrain Steiner; moments later, Steiner hit Booker several times with the pipe until he was forced back by security
