Scotty stodd on the apron, Albert by Guerrero via a dropkick, Rhyno by Morgan,
Rikishi, Morgan, Haas and Palumbo eliminated by each other and John Cena,
Mysterio by Benoit and Cena via an over-the-head throw as Mysterio attempted a
crossbody, Doug Basham by Cena when Cena ducked and pulled down the top rope,
Benjamin by Benoit via skinning the cat and hooking Benjamin with his feet to
throw him out, Guerrero by Benoit via backdrop; due to prematch stipulations,
the winner of the bout was to have earned a title shot against Brock Lesnar
immediately afterwards, however, Paul Heyman ordered that Benoit would face Cena
the following week and the winner of that match would face Brock the same night;
as the show came to a close, Benoit and Cena were beaten down by Lesnar, Big
Show, Jones, and Morgan

non-title match at 5:32 when Rikishi pinned Danny with a Samoan Drop; after the
bout, Shaniqua scolded the champions for the loss

Show pinned Shannon Moore with the chokeslam at 1:39 in a non-title
match
Jamie Noble (w/ Nidia) pinned Sakoda (w/ WWE Cruiserweight Champion
Tajiri) at 3:05 with a roll up after rolling his blind girlfriend into the ring
and pushing her into Sakoda before sending her to the floor; after the bout,
Noble told Nidia that Tajiri and his men were responsible for attacking
her
Chris Benoit defeated John Cena via submission with the Crippler
Crossface at 16:20 after Cena knocked the Big Show, who came ringside moments
earlier, off the ring apron; Cena originally won the match with the FU at 5:31
but a second referee disputed the call since Benoit's foot was on the bottom
rope during the cover - thus the bout continued; due to prematch stipulations,
Benoit earned a world title shot against Brock Lesnar later in the
evening
Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Shelton Benjamin (w/ Charlie Haas) at 3:37
after Eddie Guerrero, who drove his low rider to ringside prior to the match,
interfered as both the referee and Chavo were distracted by Haas on the ring
apron and hit the frog splash on Benjamin; after the match, Chavo argued over
Eddie being at ringside and went backstage by himself

Champion Brock Lesnar defeated Chris Benoit via TKO at 14:34 when the challenger
passed out while caught in the Brock Lock, after the champion hit Benoit's knee
with a steel chair; after the bout, Lesnar put Benoit in the Crippler Crossface
and slapped his hand to the mat - as though Benoit had submitted - since the
challenger refused to tap out during the match itself

Rhyno pinned Bradshaw at 4:16 with a cradle after Bradshaw hit a superplex
Shannon Moore pinned Albert at 1:46 by reversing an attempt at the backbreaker into a sunset flip; after the bout, Matt Morgan and the Big Show
came to the ring and Moore sustained further punishment until Morgan and Show attacked Albert, with Show hitting the chokeslam, as a result of
him losing the match
Eddie & Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas at 15:32 when Eddie pinned Benjamin after hitting him with the air filter
from the Guerreros' low rider (Allied Powers)
WWE Smackdown! World Champion Brock Lesnar defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. via submission with a modified half crab, with Mysterio's head wrapped around
the champion's head, in a non-title match at 14:41; after the bout, Hardcore Holly - wearing street clothes - came out of the crowd and clotheslined
Lesnar to the floor; had Mysterio won the match, he would have earned a title shot for the following week

Rey Mysterio Jr. pinned Jamie Noble (w/ Nidia) at 5:01 by
reversing an attempt at the Tiger Driver into the West Coast Pop after Noble
brought a blind Nidia into the ring and shoved her into the referee; due to
prematch stipulations, Mysterio became the #1 contender to the Cruiserweight
title
Chris Benoit defeated Chuck Palumbo via submission with the Crippler
Crossface at 5:17; prior to the bout, Nunzio & Johnny Stamboli were sent
backstage but after the match they helped in triple teaming Benoit
Farooq
defeated Rhyno via disqualification at 2:02 after sustaining a low blow,
followed by the Gore; prior to the bout, Rhyno called out Bradshaw but Farooq
came out instead
WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar defeated Shannon
Moore (mystery opponent) at 1:39 via submission with the Brock Lock; Moore was
chosen as the challenger after being selected at random from the Smackdown!
roster; after the bout, it was revealed that Moore was rigged to win and thus
would be in less than 100% shape for the tag team main event
Hardcore Holly
& Shannon Moore defeated Albert & Matt Morgan at 6:28 when Holly pinned
Morgan with the Alabama Slam; due to prematch stipulations, Holly regained his
spot on Smackdown! but also earned a world title shot against Brock Lesnar;
Lesnar remained ringside for the duration of the bout and interfered when the
opportunity presented itself

Spc. Marilynn Anderson from the 18th MP Brigade sang the National Anthem to open the show; featured an in-ring segment in which
Vince McMahon thanked the troops for their efforts but was interrupted by Santa Claus, who came out and distributed presents to
several of those in attendance; after Santa refused to give Vince a gift, Vince verbally berated him and knocked him to the mat; moments later,
Santa revealed himself to be Steve Austin and hit the Stunner on McMahon; Austin then thanked the troops for everything they were doing
(Austin's surprise TV return following Survivor Series); included an in-ring promo from John Cena in which he mentioned facing the Big
Show later in the night, then thanked the troops; featured a closing music video to the tune of Creed's "Weathered":
The Acolytes defeated Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin at 4:38
when Bradshaw pinned Haas with the Clothesline from Hell after Haas hit the
corner
Rikishi pinned Rhyno with a Samoan Drop at 2:28 after Rhyno failed an
attempt at the Gore and hit the corner; after the bout, Rikishi brought two
female soldiers in the ring to dance with him
Eddie Guerrero pinned Chris
Benoit at 11:38 by reversing a powerbomb attempt into a sunset flip and putting
his feet on the ropes for leverage; after the bout, Eddie started a "USA" chant before the two men shook hands and hugged out
of respect
Torrie Wilson defeated Dawn Marie and Sable in a Santa's Little
Helper outfit contest; after the event, Wilson fought off Dawn Marie and Sable
after being double teamed
John Cena pinned WWE US Champion the Big Show in a
non-title match at 4:11 with the FU after blocking a chokeslam attempt with a low blow; after the bout, Steve Austin came ringside
and hit the Stunner on both participants before inviting all the other talent on
