WCW Hardcore Champion Brian Knobbs defeated Fit Finlay, Norman Smiley, and Meng at 6:10 by pinning Smiley after hitting him in the face with a
police shield as Smiley came off the top; after the match, Smiley and Meng hugged, with Meng then throwing Smiley over the top; moments later,
Finlay and Knobbs celebrated and left ringside together
Billy Kidman pinned Perry Saturn in a bunkhbouse match at 10:04 by reversing a powerbomb attempt into a facebuster after backdropping Saturn off the top
Booker T defeated Stevie Ray via disqualification at 6:28 when Tony Norris appeared and attacked Booker T, with he helping double team Booker;
prior to the bout, Booker was escorted to the ring by Midnight and cut an in-ring promo on Stevie Ray, saying their relationship was over;

stipulations stated the match could only end via submission or with the referee's standing 10 count, however the match ended after the referee raised

Buff Bagwell defeated Diamond Dallas Page in a last man standing match at 11:37 when, after sustaining the Diamond Cutter, Bagwell reached his feet
first after Page was repeatedly hit with a nightstick by Bagwell; during the closing moments, Kimberly appeared ringside and - after DDP attacked

The Wall (mystery opponent) pinned Billy Kidman in a steel cage match at 5:02 with a chokeslam after catching Kidman coming off the top;
prior to the bout, Shane Douglas appeared and introduced Kidman's opponent and referred to Kidman as a "cock ... roach"
Kevin Nash pinned Terry Funk in a streetfight at 8:02 after a powerbomb across a steel chair laid across two folded steel chairs;
pre-match stipulations stated Nash would win Funk's commissioner job effective at midnight if he won and the nWo would be forced to disband if Funk won;
the nWo was barred from ringside for the duration of the match; within the first 2 minutes of the match, Nash dropped Funk with a powerbomb
through the commentary table; moments later, Nash grabbed the mic and said he would let Funk keep his commissioner job if he could crawl
back in the ring; after Funk did, Nash admitted to being a liar; Funk was booed and Nash cheered for the match
Chris Benoit (sub. for WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart) defeated Sid Vicious via submission
with the Crippler Crossface at 14:50 after avoiding a chokeslam; due to pre-match stipulations, Benoit
won the vacated WCW World Heavyweight Title; Arn Anderson was the guest referee for the bout; moments
prior to the finish, Sid hit the chokeslam but Anderson refused to make the 3-count since Benoit's foot
was underneath the bottom rope; during the Crossface, Sid's foot was also underneath the rope but Anderson

Dustin Rhodes pinned Terry Funk in a bullrope match at 9:02 following a piledriver onto the cow bell;
prior to the match, Funk came out with a chicken and then said he brought Dustin's little brother with him, with a man in a chicken suit then appearing
and Dustin chasing after until Funk jumped Rhodes; the man in the chicken suit later returned with Rhodes beating him up; late in the bout, Funk grabbed
the mic and said he was changing the match to an I Quit match, with Funk then forcing Rhodes to submit but the referee not recognizing it because Funk
didn't have the authority to change the rules; after the match, Rhodes continued to attack Funk but Funk eventually cleared him from ringside
Sting defeated Lex Luger (w/ Elizabeth) in a lumberjack match at 7:00 with the Scorpion Death Drop after Vampiro hit Luger in the leg with a baseball bat
as Sting was in the Torture Rack;
initial lumberjacks for the bout featured all the men Luger had broken the arms of: Jimmy Hart, Vampiro, Fit Finlay, WCW Hardcore Champion Brian Knobbs,
Curt Hennig, and Doug Dillinger; prior to the match, Luger cut an in-ring promo apologizing to the men he injured before then introducing his own
lumberjacks: Hugh Morrus, Big T, Stevie Ray, Cash, and WCW Tag Team Champions Ron & Don Harris; all the lumberjacks wore casts on their arms; mid-way in
the match, Tank Abbott came out, knocked out Dillinger, and then left ringside; moments later, the lumberjacks - save Vampiro - began brawling their way
backstage as Dillinger was helped back; with only Vampiro left at ringside, Ric Flair came out, threw Vampiro into the guard rail, but was then knocked
back to the floor by Sting; Hart then returned and dragged an interfering Elizabeth backstage, threatening her with Hulk Hogan's weightlifting belt; after
the bout, Sting and Vampiro hugged
WCW World Champion Sid Vicious defeated WCW US Champion Jeff Jarrett (w/ Madajah, Tylene Buck, & Shakira) at 7:36 after Hulk Hogan interfered and
hit the legdrop on Jarrett; early in the bout, WCW Tag Team Champions Ron & Don Harris attacked Sid in the ring and remained ringside to be in
Jarrett's corner; late in the match, referee Slick Johnson appeared to make the cover after Jarrett hit Sid over the head with his guitar but Hulk
Hogan pulled the referee out of the ring and laid out Jarrett; after the bout, Scott Steiner attacked Hogan from behind, with the Harris twins double
teaming Hogan until Sid cleared the ring; moments later, Ric Flair came out to immediately start his scheduled match with Hogan
(Steiner's surprise return after a 2-month absence)
Hulk Hogan (w/ Jimmy Hart) pinned Ric Flair in a strap match at 14:26 with the leg drop after kicking an interfering Lex Luger in the face;
mid-way in the match, Luger and Elizabeth appeared as Hogan battled Flair near the entrance way, with Luger hitting Hogan over the head with a

WCW US Champion Scott Steiner (w/ Shakira & Madajah) defeated Capt. Rection at 9:23 via submission with the
Steiner Recliner after Steiner avoided the moonsault;
prior to the bout, the challenger said he didn't want to be called Hugh Morrus, citing Eric Bischoff gave him
the name, and instead wanted to be called by his real name Hugh G. Rection, or Capt. Rection; after the match,
Steiner threw the referee to the floor and reapplied the hold as the MIA, attempting to make the save,
brawled with R&B Security at ringside;
moments later, Booker T made the save for Rection, knocking Steiner to the floor
Kanyon fought Mike Awesome to a no contest at 11:59 when, after Kevin Nash interfered and began attacking Awesome,
Billy Kidman, Shane Douglas, Vampiro, and Chris Candido attacked Nash; moments later, Ric Flair and Sting helped
make the save and, with Nash and Kanyon, cleared the ring of the New Blood and R&B Security
Lex Luger defeated Buff Bagwell via submission with the Torture Rack at 9:30 after Elizabeth hit Bagwell in the
back with a baseball bat, knocking him off the top; Elizabeth was backstage until mid-way through the match when
she attacked Vince Russo and came ringside; after the bout, Chuck Palumbo - wearing attire exactly like Luger's -
jumped Luger with the bat, double teamed him with Bagwell, and then put him in the Torture Rack as Bagwell held
Elizabeth back; moments later, Bagwell dragged Elizabeth backstage
Shane Douglas pinned Ric Flair at 8:45 with an inside cradle after a man wearing a Sting mask hit Flair in the back
as Buff Bagwell distracted the referee;
pre-match stiuplations stated if Vince Russo were to interfere, Flair would get 5 minutes in the ring alone
with him; prior to the bout, Flair cut a promo in the ring saying he would kick Douglas' "ECW ass;"
after the bout, Douglas and Bagwell double teamed Flair until Flair grabbed the mic and demanded "Russo" (the man
wearing the mask) get back in the ring and give him the 5 minutes; Lex Luger then came up behind the man and forced
him into the ring, with Russo then appearing, knocking out Luger, and distracting Flair as the masked man broke a small Statue of Liberty
over Flair's head; the masked man then revealed himself as David Flair, with Russo then demanding the 5-minute clock
start; as the two men double teamed Flair, Kevin Nash came out to attempt make the save but Daffney appeared and
gave Nash a low blow from behind
Sting pinned Vampiro at 6:49 after twice dropping Vampiro with the Scorpion Death Drop;
after the bout, Sting returned to the ring and hit Vampiro with his baseball bat as Vampiro attempted to get to his feet
Hulk Hogan pinned Billy Kidman (w/ Torrie Wilson) at 13:30 when Horace Hogan came out and slapped the hand of
unconcious referee Eric Bischoff three times as Hulk covered Kidman after he came off the top and crashed through
a table set up in the ring; prior to the bout, Horace escorted Hulk ringside but was sent backstage by Bischoff;
Bischoff was knocked out at the 12-minute mark after Hogan powerbombed him through a table
Jeff Jarrett defeated WCW World Champion David Arquette and Diamond Dallas Page in a triple cage match to win the
title at 15:29 when Arquette smashed a guitar across DDP as Page attempted to climb to the top cage, with Jarrett
then hitting him with a second guitar and then hugging Arquette before reaching up to grab the title belt;
after the bout, Mike Awesome, who interfered late in the bout, attacked DDP with Kanyon attempting to make the
save; moments later, Awesome threw Kanyon off the second cage onto the aisle about 20 feet below

WCW Hardcore Champion Terry Funk pinned Chris Candido at around the 6-minute mark;
the match began in the arena but Funk eventually dragged Candido into the back of a pickup, drove to a horse stall
just outside the arena, battled him in a stall - with a horse kicking at both men - and eventually put him through a
table to win the match after punching out the referee and then waking him up by pouring a bucket of water on him;
Candido was dressed as Funk for the match
Sting defeated Billy Kidman (w/ Torrie Wilson) and Horace Hogan at 5:02 when Kidman submitted to the Scorpion Deathlock
after hitting a running crossbody on both men on the rampway; after the bout, Kidman and Horace argued over the loss

Ice Train was the driver for the Cat's limo; included an in-ring promo by Horace Hogan - weilding a baseball bat -
in which he cut a promo on Bill Goldberg for his attack on Hulk Hogan the previous week and challenged Goldberg to a match;
moments later, the Cat interrupted and said he and Goldberg were too busy to deal with Horace and then announced Scott
Steiner would be suspended for 30 days if he interfered in any match later in the night; Kevin Nash, WCW US Champion
Scott Steiner and Madajah then appeared and forced Cat to grand Horace a match with Goldberg; Steiner then challenged
Cat to a match since he couldn't find "Eric Bitchoff," with Cat backing off and giving Steiner a title shot against
Jeff Jarrett instead; Nash then challenged the Cat to a match with Scott Hall's contract at stake and then scared the Cat
through the crowd; featured Rick Steiner & Tank Abbott attacking Chuck Palumbo & Sean Stasiak outside the production truck;
included Jarrett confronting the Cat backstage in which Cat made Mike Awesome the guest referee for the night's world title
match; featured Mike Tenay conducting a backstage interview with Horace about his upcoming match with Goldberg;
included GI Bro speaking with the MIA backstage in which he gave them a pep talk to step up and lead WCW in the absence
of Hogan, Flair, and DDP and then appointed G. Rection as the new general of MIA; moments later, Kanyon came out dressed
as DDP and cut a promo issuing an open challenge until GI Bro came out, sent Kanyon to the floor, and stripped off his
camouflage to reveal his Booker T attire underneath; featured David Flair apologizing to Daffney backstage for his recent
actions in which she eventually took him back; after the commercial break, David met with Ms. Hancock backstage, thinking
Daffney had left the arena but Daffney saw it all on a monitor; included Vampiro conducting an in-ring promo on the Demon
in which he said Dale Torborg was getting rid of his "persona;" moments later, Torborg and his fiancee Aysa appeared
with the lights flickering out and Aysa disappearing and the lights flickering out and Vampiro then disappearing;
Vampiro then appeared on the big screen driving out of the arena in a hearse:
Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, & Evan Karagias defeated Yang, Kaz Hayashi, & Jamie-san at around 3:53 when Karagias pinned
Jamie-san following a wheelbarrow slam triple-team; prior to the bout, 3 Count cut an in-ring promo in which they said
they would debut their next single Wednesday called "Come Dance with 3 Count;" after the bout, Lance Storm laid out all
three members of 3 Count before escaping through the crowd (Storm's surpise debut)
WCW Hardcore Champion Big Vito pinned Johnny the Bull at 4:14 with a jumping DDT through a table set up backstage;
moments after the match, Terry Funk helped Johnny to his lockerroom and said he would help train him
Bill Goldberg pinned Horace Hogan at 2:36 with the spear and Jackhammer
Kevin Nash pinned the Cat with the powerbomb at 2:37; the bout was for Scott Hall's contract, which was locked in a
briefcase and handcuffed to Mark Madden at the commentary table; after the bout, Nash opened the briefcase to reveal
the contract wasn't there but 8x10s of the Cat were; as Nash confronted the Cat in the ring, Bill Goldberg appeared
on the big screen and said he had Hall's contract and if Nash wanted it he could face him at Bash at the Beach;
Goldberg then ate the contract as Nash went backstage to find him; after the commercial break, Tenay interviewed Nash
backstage in which Nash said BATB was on his birthday, Hall lived 40 minutes from Daytona Beach, and they would have
a big party after he beat Goldberg again
WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero Jr. (w/ Gen. Rection, Lash Laroux, Hammer, & Major Gunns) defeated
Rey Mysterio Jr. (w/ Disco Inferno, Konnan, Juventud Guerrera, & Tigress) and TAFKA Prince Iaukea (w/ Paisley) at 2:24
by pinning Iaukea with the tornado DDT; Guerrera did guest commentary for the bout; after the match, Major Gunns,

WCW and only came to get the belt back; Russo then said the fans would never see Hogan again and that the fans wouldn't be ripped off; Russo then
said Hogan's belt was the Hulk Hogan Memorial belt and that it "didn't mean shit;" he continued by saying Jarrett would defend the title later in
the night against Booker T, who he noted had busted his ass for 14 years without a break; included Okerlund conducting a backstage interview with

when the referee counted Miller out of the ring following the 3rd round when Miller began fighting with an interfering Shane Douglas at ringside;
Douglas appeared ringside after the 2nd round and hit Miller with a foreign object behind the referee's back toward the end of the round
Mike Awesome pinned Vampiro with a powerbomb off the top at 9:50; prior to the bout, Vampiro cut an in-ring promo in which he challenged Awesome to put

after the bout, Kronik got in a backstage fight with security after they were ordered out of the building
Ernest Miller (w/ Ms. Jones) pinned Lance Storm at 8:08 with the Feliner after Storm became distracted by Ms. Jones
knocking down an interfering Mike Sanders at ringside; due to pre-match stipulations, Miller won Storm's commissioner
role effective at midnight; after the match, it was announced Miller had been ejected from the building as well
Kanyon (sub. for Jeff Jarrett) pinned Diamond Dallas Page with the Flatliner at 8:16 after Jeff Jarrett interfered

contest and later added a falls count anywhere stipulation; backstage footage then showed Diamond Dallas Page making
his way out to keep things even but he was attacked by Lex Luger & Buff Bagwell; fall #2: Stiener pinned Nash on the
floor at 3:52 after hitting him in the head with a lead pipe; fall #3: Steiner defeated Nash via KO with the Steiner Recliner after hitting him with a steel chair,
moments after Nash dropped Madajah with a side slam and Flair punched out referee Charles Robinson;
prior to the bout, Steiner cut an in-ring promo in which he showed footage of Sid Vicious breaking his leg at Sin,
with Ric Flair then announcing that the loser of the upcoming match would be forced to leave WCW forever, with the
thought being Nash was too injured from the attack he took on Nitro to even make the show; as Robinson
began counting Nash out of the ring, he was wheeled ringside by two young, attractive nurses before proving he wasn't

Monday Nitro "Night of Champions" - the final WCW event; featured Vince McMahon opening the broadcast in a pretaped backstage segment
from Cleveland, OH - site of that night's WWF Monday Night Raw - in which he announced he bought WCW and would address the WCW fans
and wrestlers later in the show during a simulcast on both the TNN and TNT networks; included an in-ring promo by Ric Flair in which he replied to McMahon's
comments he would hold the WCW stars in his hands - then naming Steamboat, the Steiners, Sting, Luger, Bagwell, Brisco,
and the Road Warriors - and said "I don't think so;" Flair then put WCW over as the greatest wrestling organization in the
world and said when Vince McMahon Sr. was on the NWA Board of Directors he voted for Flair to become World Champion; Flair
then named Sting as his greatest opponent in WCW and issued a challenge for Sting to face him later in the show;
featured backstage footage of McMahon speaking on the phone with his attorney and insulting the Panama City crowd;
included backstage footaage of McMahon sharing a drink with Trish Stratus before he started kissing her; featured a
backstage promo by WCW World Champion Booker T in which he said this might be the end of a chapter - the end of WCW -
but there were more pages in his book; included Michael Cole interviewing McMahon backstage in Cleveland about the fear
some WCW wrestlers had they might never compete again, with Vince throwing him out of his lockerroom; featured William
Regal meeting with McMahon backstage in which Regal warned McMahon about WCW; included footage from Vertical Horizon
performing at Spinnakers during the 1-800 Collect WCW Spring Break Out 2001 segment; featured a promo by Diamond Dallas Page
on the beach regarding WCW's final show in which he thanked all the fans and his wife Kimberly for their support;
included a vignette of many of the men associated with the NWA / WCW World Title - Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Ric Flair,
the Great Muta, Lex Luger, Ron Simmons, Big Van Vader, Jack Brisco, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, DDP, Jeff Jarrett, the Giant,
Lou Thesz, Dory Funk Jr., Terry Funk, Ron Garvin, Bret Hart, Sid Vicious, Barry Windham, Booker T, and Scott Steiner;
Roddy Piper was the only person featured who never wore either title; featured backstage footage of McMahon getting ready
for the simulcast; included a backstage promo by Sting regarding his match with Flair later in the show;
a match between Shane Douglas and Rick Steiner was scheduled but did not happen:

at 5:11 after avoiding a powerbomb attempt; both titles were at stake in the match

when Mysterio pinned Moore with a legdrop off the top as Moore hung backwards from the middle rope;
due to pre-match stipulations, Mysterio & Kidman earned a WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Title shot for later in the show
WCW Cruiserweight Champion Shane Helms pinned Chavo Guerrero Jr. at 4:39 with the Vertebreaker
WCW Tag Team Champions Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo defeated Lance Storm & Mike Awesome at 3:21 when O'Haire pinned
Awesome with the Swanton Bomb after the Jungle Kick from Palumbo
Shawn Stasiak (w/ Stacy Keibler) pinned Bam Bam Bigelow at 1:23 with the neckbreaker when Stacy prevented Bigelow from
hitting the Greetings from Asbury Park; pre-match stipulations stated if Bigelow won then he would tattoo Stasiak
Rey Mysterio Jr. & Billy Kidman defeated WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions Elix Skipper & Kid Romeo to win the titles
at 4:43 when Kidman pinned Skipper with the Kid Crusher;
during the match, Tony Schiavone discussed "Steve" Regal badmouthing WCW earlier in the show and talked about how he had
to "put his ass over" when Regal was in the company
Sting defeated Ric Flair via submission with the Scorpion Deathlock at 7:17 following a superplex;
after the bout, Sting helped Flair to his feet and shook his hand before the two hugged;
immediately after they hugged, the live WWF simulcast began from Cleveland, OH - commentated by Jim Ross & Paul Heyman -
in which Vince McMahon cut an in-ring promo about his purchase of WCW and said the sale from Time-Warner would become final
at WrestleMania X-7 when Ted Turner delivers him the contract; McMahon then discussed his upcoming match with his son
Shane and said he would do to Shane what he did to WCW; he then said he could put WCW on the shelf or run it as a
"media conglomerate" like WWF and listed several WCW stars to see if the crowd thought he should bring them to
the WWF - Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger, Buff Bagwell, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Sting, and Goldberg; Goldberg received the biggest
applause with Bagwell, Booker, and Steiner close behind; moments later, Shane McMahon walked to the ring in Panama City
and said the deal with WCW was finalized but it was Shane's name, not Vince's, on the contract and Shane was now the owner
of WCW; Shane then said he would beat Vince at WrestleMania just like WCW used to beat the WWF; the show ended with a
promo for the Monday Night Raw main event - WWF World Champion the Rock & Steve Austin vs. the Undertaker & Kane - and a
Rock / Austin WrestleMania commercial
- 3/28/01: The final WCW staff meeting was held at the Power Plant. During the meeting, 120 of the 140 employee workforce were terminated on the spot and asked to clear out their offices and leave anything belonging to Time Warner behind.
