Ric Flair (w/ Sensuous Sherri) defeated Terry Taylor via submission with the figure-4 at 8:50; late in the bout, WCW World Champion Hulk Hogan & Jimmy Hart appeared on the big screen, distracting Flair; after the contest, Flair grabbed the ropes for added leverage and kept the hold applied, with he and Sherri then double teaming Taylor until Hogan and Hart ran out to clear the ring; moments later, Hogan posed in the ring with the title belt before being interviewed by Gene Okerlund regarding Hogan's title defense against Flair at the Clash of the Champions; Hogan then said he would face Flair the following night on the live edition of The Main Event, with the title up for grabs, if Flair had the guts
